Old friend
Hi Friends,
Won't write much tonight...work was okay, busy but not terrible I guess. It was SO great to have Hope back working this morning!!!! It's awesome to see her face around the unit again...she's so great, and I can't wait to have her there regularly again. :) Went to see mom tonight after work...the nurse said she was up chatting in the activity room for awhile this evening, and then at the desk so they could keep an eye on her...I'm sure she loved talking to everyone that went by. :) When I arrived, she had fallen asleep on the bed, and when she awoke she was pretty groggy and disoriented until she was more awake...we had a nice little visit...Loyce called and they talked briefly...she made it back to Iowa safe and sound last evening. I also got a call from my old friend Sarah from college, which was so great too!! I hadn't actually talked to her on the phone for quite some time, so it was great to catch up a little and just hear her voice. :) She is a pastor in California where she lives with her husband, and her congregation sent mom and I a sweet card signed by all and a hand-made prayer quilt...they don't even know me or mom, and yet they still did that for us...there are some wonderful people in the world. :) Every little good thought and bit of love helps mom to get better...I truly believe all the positive energy makes such a difference. Thanks to all those wonderful people!
Must work again tomorrow, but mom will have another full day of therapy, and they seem to keep her occupied. She's just so cute...she's getting apprehensive about the move to a new place on Friday (I can tell because she keeps asking me about it...but she remembers...wow), and to be honest, I am too because change is always hard. But we can reassure each other, I guess.
Thanks for your comments...wow, I can't believe that so many people are still reading this thing...it is my whole life, but I can understand how others would get tired of hearing about it, so thank you so much for continuing to care and love. It means so much to both of us. Peace.
