Meeting, etc.
Hi Friends,
Sorry about the lack of blog last night...I have no other excuse except that I was really exhausted from work and forgot...very rare for me, I know. I must fill you in on the meeting yesterday with the woman from QLI (the inpatient program in NE). The woman was SO nice, and after talking to mom and learning a bit about her history and such, thought she would actually be a great candidate for the program. She explained a bit more about the program, and the services they offer, the living situation, etc. She said the average patient there is mom's age or younger, and they're all either brain injury or spinal cord injury survivors, and they range in severity of injury and deficits from very impaired to mildly impaired. She said we may have an answer by as early as the end of next week, so we shall see. :)
Today I worked again, which was probably a good thing as it was another scorcher out. We were busy but not crazy, so we all survived. Talked to mom, she was pretty much status quo so not much new to tell you. Am once again exhausated, so will eat something quickly and then head to bed. Off tomorrow, so another day to get stuff done. Also must call the oral surgeon and possibly make an appointment to be seen...my ear and jaw on the side I got my wisdom tooth removed from has been bothering me a lot the past couple of days...shooting pains in my ear...I can only assume they are connected, but if not at least it's a good place to start. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all your continued love and support. Peace.
