Things are sticking?
Hi Friends,
Worked today, it was kinda busy but we made it through the day. Talked to mom a few times today, but she was kinda "busy" with all kinds of things this afternoon too (therapies, etc), which I'm really glad about. She seemed to have a good day.
I forgot to mention an interesting thing mom said yesterday...while we were watching the movie, there was a scene where one of the characters narrowly misses getting hit by a truck in the middle of the street...mom turned to me right after that happened and said "Boy, that girl almost got it like I did!" It was such an earnest comment, without distress, and I was so surprised that she said it...I just said "Yeah, you're right!" back to her. Now, thinking back on it today, it was kind of funny, just the way she said it, but I was also amazed that she was making that connection and that my explanation really has stuck in her mind more than it ever has before. Even today she made more comments on the phone that she was so glad I had been honest with her and told her the whole story about the past 4 1/2 months. I think she is still processing all the info.
Well, off to bed...another busy day at work ahead tomorrow, I'm sure. I know I say this every night, but thank you all for your continued love, support and encouragement. Peace.
