Happy Easter!
Hi Friends,
Hope everyone had a great holiday! I did, all things considered. Mom and I had brunch at Monica and Tim's apartment with them, Hope and Scott, and Monica's mom...it was SO good and we had a really good time. A very nice Easter celebration, and very homey. After we left, Hope and Scott kindly offered us a ride, and we rode over to the new 'hood again to stop at the yummy bakery and pick something up. It was so nice out, we decided to walk around a bit, and so I got to show mom our new apartment from the outside! She of course loved it and got very excited! :) Then they dropped us back off near the palace (aka the Imperial) and we did some more walking. We stopped in Starbuck's for a drink, and just sat and chatted for a long while. It was very nice and relaxing, and we had a great time. Then walked to Walgreen's to pick up a few things and then headed back to the palace for dinnertime. I ended up hanging out with mom until the evening and we got to talk to the family back in Saratoga while they had Easter dinner together, and then Pam stopped by after she got off work a bit early, and we all hung out together for awhile. We left when visiting hours were over, and then Pam and I decided last minute to grab a late dinner together, which was nice.
All in all, a quiet Easter filled with laughs, good food and wonderful friends...if we couldn't be back east for our family's celebration, this is the only other kind of day I'd rather have had, and I'm so thankful that we are able to be together to celebrate at all. I feel so lucky in spite of everything, and am looking toward the future with a smile in my heart. Thank you all for your contributions to our good fortune. Peace to all.
