Spring is in the air

Hi Friends,

Mmm, a beautiful day was a much needed and welcome change! Of course not shorts and t-shirts weather exactly, but sunny and balmy is a-okay with me! I know spring is coming because my allergies are beginning to kick up...that's a sure sign! Pam and I started the day with a yummy lunch at a Jewish deli, and then headed to the palace to pick up mom. When we arrived she was in attendance at the resident council meeting which we listened in on for a bit at the end. Basically it sounded like a time during which the Imperial residents could voice their concerns and complaints to the staff. Mom was the only one who raised her hand, stood up and thanked the staff for helping her come back from "almost dying" instead of complaining about something. She got a round of applause...and was very pleased with herself. ;)

Then Pam, mom and I headed down to the lakefront and enjoyed a nice, breezy walk along the shore...a little chilly but it felt good to be out in the air, and mom enjoyed it immensely. She often feels very cooped up and stale inside all the time, which is completely understandable, and so really liked being out and about once again. When the wind got to be too much for us, we headed to Starbuck's for a drink and a chat, and then dropped mom off back at the palace in time for dinner. I headed into work for a couple hours to cover for Jillian who is leaving tomorrow for an out of town trip and needed to get some things done.

Back to work for a full shift tomorrow, so off to bed. Thank you once again for your continued love and support. Peace to all.
