A little chat
Hi Friends,
Another long day at work, but now I'm cozy at home. I do feel like I may be coming down with something, or it could just be my allergies...it's hard to tell, but just in case I will begin my hardcore regimen of vitamins and those trusty Chinese herbs. :) Not too bad, just some congestion and tightness in my chest...we'll see.
Mom sounded good today, upbeat and keeping busy with activities and such, which is good. She was very excited about the prospect of going on tomorrow's out trip to Wendy's, but she didn't have any money, so sweet Pam agreed to drop some off for her today as I have to work today and tomorrow and wouldn't have been able to get there to do so myself. So now she's all set and looking forward to it. :) I'm so very grateful to Pam for being able to do that for us.
Had a chat with mom tonight regarding her stay at the Imperial...per Aunt Linda's wise observation, mom's preoccupation with going home, though understandable, could be detrimental to her current recovery process. If she is only thinking about the future, she is not able to take full advantage of the present to gain as many skills and as much independence as she can. So we chatted about this, and how though it is perfectly okay to look forward to coming home, it cannot be the only thing she thinks about and focuses on. She agreed to try and take better advantage of her current opportunities, so we'll keep working on that.
Well, off to bed to ward off the germs...we're halfway through the week! Thanks all for your continued love and support. Peace.
