Right back on the horse
Hi Friends,
Well, today went much better...mom was feeling fine this morning when she called after breakfast, and sounded great. Betty and I leisurely had our coffee and breakfast here at home, and then Betty ventured out on her own to TJ Maxx and Costplus World Market while I got ready. Then when she came back (after picking out some good stuff), we headed over to get mom. She had taken it easy all morning and after lunch, so she was good to go when we got there. We headed out into the sunlight and warmth and strolled on down the street...peeked in a costume shop where they had all kinds of funny stuff, and just admired the weather, architecture, wildlife (mom is OBSESSED with dogs, including every single one we pass on the street) and plant life. Took a rest in McDonald's for a bit so as not to tire mom out, and then headed out again in search of a good place to meet up with Lilly for dinner. Found a spot but kept walking and took another rest in a park where we people- and dog-watched in the afternoon sun. Then headed back to the restaurant and a bit later Lilly arrived...had a great dinner with lots of laughs and reminiscing, and then another leisurely stroll back to the Palace to drop mom off for the night. She did not feel ill at all, and had a wonderful day. :) I'm so glad. Tomorrow we'll all go to the zoo together (Lilly too!) and the Lincoln Park Conservatory for our "nature" fix...well, as much of one as we can get in the middle of the city.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and was able to enjoy the weather...spring has finally sprung! :) Thanks for all your continued love and support. Peace to you.
