More family incoming

Hi Friends,

Am exhausted, so this will be a short entry...work today was very busy. Betty got off on her flight this morning without incident, so she is finally back home. Still missing her, but looking so forward to Aunt Linda, Uncle Tom, Winsome and Ben's arrival tomorrow...the weather looks as though it will cooperate, thank goodness. Mom is looking forward to the visit as well...she is still able to recall who is coming when I ask her! :) Sounds like she had a good day today...unfortunately, I wasn't there at all because of work, but she seemed in good spirits this evening when I got there. Her roommate is gone (she must have been discharged), so she has the room to herself for the moment...very nice, and much quieter without the other TV blasting! We hung out for a little while this evening, filled out her menu for tomorrow (I helped her, but she circled the things herself), chatted with the nurse (found out she is no longer on any diabetes meds, oral or otherwise, and her blood sugars have been good!), and looked at a few cards she got. She talked to Betty on the phone around dinnertime, and Betty said they had a good conversation. Found out that mom's friend Loyce is coming on Sunday for a visit from Iowa! Mom is also very excited about this...she'll have lots of visitors, which is always good. :)

Okay, if I don't go to bed now I might collapse. Thanks to all for your continued love and support...as always it is quite a boost. Peace.
