Yeah Giants!
Hi Friends,
Wow, what a game! It was a nail-biter to be sure, and there was a point where I wasn't sure if they'd pull through, but they did! Go Giants!
Mom and I had a good time watching the game together...we watched the kickoff and the first quarter or so in her room before going down to the Bistro for her dinner. They had the game on down there, so we were able to keep watching, and then when she was done eating we headed back up to her room and I was able to stay until 8pm, during the 3rd quarter, and then I had to leave. Unbeknownst to me, it had begun snowing like crazy outside during the late afternoon, so I had a lot of trouble getting home and I missed the Giants' first touchdown, but I heard about it from mom. Got home in time to see the exciting 4th quarter, though. Wahoo! :)
Earlier in the day, had lunch with Elvia, Suzi and her kids at the Olive Garden, which was very fun. Then I just hung out with mom the rest of the day...we went down and watched an old movie in the activity room and had some popcorn before the Super Bowl kickoff...it was "To Catch A Thief" with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly...didn't realize this was directed by Alfred Hitchcock! I love Grace Kelly's dress in the scene where they're watching the fireworks from her hotel room...it's white, and I think if I ever get married I'd like my dress to look like that...she was just beautiful anyway, though. This movie was from the year mom was born...1955! :) This was also the movie which was filmed in Monaco and the scene where she is driving in the car is rumored to have been filmed on the same stretch of road where she later was killed in a car accident. Just a little Grace Kelly lesson for you. This blog is good for all kinds of things!
Well, I hope everyone travels safely in this weather...even more I can't wait for spring!! Tomorrow is my last day off in my 4 day stretch, so I will try to make the best of it. Thanks all for your continued love and support. Peace.
