Memorial Day
Hi Friends,
Whew, a long but fun day...man is it hot out! A pleasant surprise that it didn't rain one drop all day, and was beautifully sunny the whole time...just very warm (80s). A great day for a barbecue! Mom and I got up and had breakfast, and then showered and got ready to go shopping...I even gave her hair a trim! :) Looks good, if I do say so myself. Who needs expensive haircuts? Anyway, then went to a couple of grocery stores to get some supplies, and came back to prepare. Pam and Michelle arrived first, followed by Monica and Tim. We had a lovely meal on the back deck. Later on, Lilly came by and we were able to hang out a bit altogether before we had to bring mom back to the palace...let me tell you, that was difficult...after a taste of home living (spending the night and all), she REALLY didn't want to go back and was very upset. We tried to get her to think about it like she was just going back to the dorm for college, and that she'd get another break soon. :( I can imagine how sad she was though, having to go back. I can't wait till she doesn't have to go back anymore.
Off to bed now, tomorrow will be the first of three in a row at work, so must rest up. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Thanks for all your continued love and support. Peace.
