Sleepover!
Hi Friends,
How exciting, mom is spending the night at home tonight!!! Wow!! I got that brilliant idea this morning while lying in bed, and called to make it happen! I can't tell you how excited mom was when I told her...she is LOVING it, especially because she gets to hang out with the kitties so much. We ordered Mediterranean food for dinner and watched one of Betty's birthday gifts to mom, the movie "Across the Universe." We had a grand old time, singing along with all the Beatles songs, and mom remembering how she was alive during the Vietnam war and saw wartime footage on TV. Fitting movie to be watching on Memorial Day weekend, I just realized...speaking of which, heard bagpipes out my back door this morning and looked to find a parade of some kind going down the street, with the church bells clanging along as well. Quite nice, actually...I enjoyed the music. Anyway, we'll get up tomorrow morning and shop for groceries for the barbecue in the afternoon, and she'll help me straighten the rest of the house up for the occasion and company. Lilly might even stop by! :)
For now though, we must head to bed. Hopefully Moe will make her way in to sleep on mom's bed...she'll be in heaven. Thanks for all your continued love and support! Peace.
