Sunday blues

Hi Friends,

Sorry for the missing entry last night...I had quite the headache from too much sun and not enough water, and fell asleep on the couch while trying to recover. Was at the beach again for a good part of yesterday, and met my friend Leah there. We had a nice time, but I clearly didn't hydrate myself enough and paid for it later. Today, I did some chores around the house, spent about an hour at the beach in between rain showers, and then went for a walk to explore the neighborhood a bit and ended up taking myself to dinner at a Thai restaurant several blocks from my apartment. All in all, a very relaxing weekend, which is just what I needed to rejuvinate a little bit, as the stress is once again and inevitably mounting as the next step in mom's recovery fast approaches. I needed a break from work and responsibility, just a couple of days...and I took them. I hope tomorrow I will be able to once again face my obligations, and the daily grind, with a fresh outlook and energy. As it is, though, I'm very sorry to see the end of the weekend.
