Weary
Hi Friends,
Well, I was right...work today was a little tough...I definitely need to catch up on my sleep...to bed late two nights in a row and having to work is not easy. But well worth it, to be sure. :) Tried to keep busy (which wasn't difficult) at work to stay awake and keep the momentum going, and now I can't wait to hit the sack. Was sort of good that it was busy today, because it kept us from thinking about how it was my last day working with Stef. :(
Mom was doing well today...she was once again upbeat, having fun "challenging her brain" with word search puzzles, playing and winning at bingo, and who knows what all else. She tells me that even though she is no longer receiving speech therapy, Genevieve (the speech therapist) lets her come down and help others in their sessions, so she is getting to do some "teaching" just like always. :) I really think it gives her a sense of pride that she can help out, so I'm grateful she has the opportunity. Still waiting to hear back from the programs out of state, so I'll keep you posted as usual.
Yay, tomorrow is Friday! I've got the annual Prentice Boat Party to attend tomorrow evening to send off the graduating OB residents and welcome the incoming interns. It will be a good time as usual, I'm sure. Hope everyone has a good end to their week! Thanks for all your continued love and support. Peace.
