Busy Monday
Hi Friends,
A busy Monday, but very productive so all is well. This morning, went grocery shopping for the week, so I finally have some food in the house, always a good thing. Then dropped some stuff off at the Salvation Army before heading to go visit mom. When I arrived, she was starting to work on the needlepoint project Suzi gave her for her birthday...she was in the process of untangling the string and getting it organized. She seemed to be having fun, and was very glad to see me. She is doing very well...slightly warming up to the idea of possibly going to one of those programs this summer...her outlook seems to be shifting in the right direction. She's still not excited about it by any means, but her attitude now is, "If I have to go, so be it...I'll get better so that I can come home permanently." She is showing more of an awareness of her deficits these last couple of days too, which is a wonderful step in the right direction. I only hope it continues in this vein! :)
Anyway, we went to a nursery and got a few more flowers for the back deck...it's starting to look really nice out there...I'll have to take some pics and post them on here for you to see! After I dropped mom back off at the palace, I headed over to visit my friend Kim and her new baby, Joey who live not too far from my new place...they were both doing very well, and we just sat and talked and ordered pizza for dinner. I had a great time, and can't wait to see them again! :) I sure do love givin' those babies some lovin'! I need to visit with all my other coworkers' cute new babies, too! Can't wait!
Now am home and going to bed...back to work tomorrow after my four day off stretch. Ugh. Thanks to all for your continued love and support. Peace.
