No Triple Crown winner...again
Hi Friends,
Short entry tonight, it's WAY past my bedtime and there's no good reason why I'm still up, so I must hustle into my bed. Another stormy day spent doing chores...oh, the exciting life I lead. It's a good thing I didn't blow away, there were tornados very close to me! Yikes!
Paused to watch the Belmont Stakes, and alas Big Brown did not pull through, so we must wait another year for a potential Triple Crown winner. Everyone had such high hopes...mom watched, I know, and I'm sure the rest of the family was all on the edge of their seats as well...in case you didn't know, my family is very into horse racing, being from Saratoga and all. :)
Mom's been working a lot on her word search puzzles, she seems to really be enjoying those...a good exercise for her brain, I'd say, so I'm all for it!
Tomorrow, will be co-hosting (sort of) a summer party to commemorate my dear friend Stefanie's last days with us at work...she and her husband have finally sold their condo and are moving to the Twin Cities toward the end of the month. We'll all be so sad to see her go. :(
