Party a success
Hi Friends,
Ah, what a lovely day. Headed out to the 'burbs to Suzi's house and picked up some items at the grocery store while it proceeded to downpour outside, dampening (no pun intended) our hopes of a summer barbecue as planned. It was really coming down for awhile, but it finally let up as we were getting back to the house. People started arriving, and we just ate snacks and chatted and had some cocktails. The weather began to brighten up, and by late afternoon, the sun was out and it was back to being steamy and perfect for being outside! We were all so pleased, and brought the party outside. I was the "grill master" as I was dubbed and we had brats and burgers, plenty of cookies, fruit, chips, veggies, etc. It was so nice to sit out in the sun with everyone and just hang and talk and listen to music (I DJ'd also). None of us were quite brave enough to go in the pool (except the dogs), but it sure looked good. :) All in all, a fun day with the girls to celebrate Stef.
Am back home now, tired from the fun and sun, so will head to bed. Tomorrow plan to visit mom, visit my friend Kim and her new baby, Joey, and run some other errands. Hope everyone had a great weekend! Thanks to all for your continued love and support. Peace.
